According to EY's annual review, around 191 transactions closed in 2018 with a total value of $9.3 billion.

The Annual Turkish M&A Review 2018 by Ernst & Young reports that around 191 transactions closed in 2018, with a total value of $9.3 billion.

While the financial services sector hosted the highest level of deal activity in terms of deal value, the IT sector led in terms of deal numbers.

For mid-sized industrial companies this points to two things: the relatively steady transaction count shows that buyer interest persists, while the limited average deal size indicates that well-positioned mid-market assets are being valued in a competitive field.
