Haltin Global at Datasite's Dealmakers Dialogues symposium

Haltin Global founder Hakan Altınkeser attended Dealmakers Dialogues (M&A Dialogues), the symposium organised by Datasite in Istanbul on 1 October 2026. The event explored the future of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) under the motto “AI is no longer an advantage; it’s the baseline”.

At the heart of the agenda was the transformation AI is bringing to transactions and its critical role in due diligence. According to “The new deal team” study (Datasite / FT Longitude, 2026) presented by Datasite, due diligence leads the deal stages in which AI is regularly used or fully embedded, at 50%. It is followed by sourcing and screening at 43% and deal marketing at 39%, while the figure falls to 16% at closing. As the presentation highlighted, adoption rises through the process-heavy stages and then drops as human judgment takes over.

Due diligence also came out on top when the audience was asked, “Where is AI helping you most in dealmaking today?”. It was followed by drafting, deal sourcing, valuation, review and summarisation, translation and risk assessment.
